Co-Founder
Derek Goldberg is a seasoned leader with over 25 years in the global health insurance industry, including 15 years in Asia Pacific and 10 years in North America. With a background that spans operations, product development, provider networks, marketing, and sales, Derek has spent more than a decade as a regional CEO in Asia. He has successfully developed insurance businesses in seven Asia Pacific markets, consistently achieving top-three market share in each. His extensive experience includes navigating mergers, acquisitions, and organic growth.
Derek is passionate about creating sustainable health insurance solutions that offer exceptional value and customer experience while effectively managing medical costs.
CO-Founder
Jonathan James is a regional leader with 23 years of experience within corporate growth strategy, sales, and business transformation across health insurance, banking, P&C/EB broking, and lifestyle sectors. Based in Singapore since 2010, he has a proven track record in launching successful businesses and leading large local and regional teams.
With expertise spanning business management, direct and partnership sales, and building corporate and commercial infrastructure for large corporations in UK and Asia. Jonathan is deeply passionate about people and partnership to acomplish the ultimate objectives of each individual or company.
Jonathan is meticulous when it comes to risk management and compliance, with extensive experience in navigating the general insurance, P&C broking, employee benefits, and both international and local private medical insurance arenas. Having designed and later refined the Regional Private Medical Insurance' segment back in 2023, both Jonathan and Derek are determined to pioneer and represent RPMI through the Serenity:MSIG partnership across Asia.
General Manager
Serenity’s General Manager, Juliet Khew, is responsible for the core infrastructure and operations of the company, including underwriting.
Juliet has 20+ years of experience in health insurance operations in Singapore, working for various insurers across all segments of the health insurance market. She has a deep understanding of the regulatory and professional requirements for running an insurance-related business in a compliant manner, as well as extensive business growth and operational experience. Juliet also held the title of being the MAS approved Chief Executive of an insurer from 2020 to 2024, which provides Serenity Health Partners, clients and members with the assurance that their interests are well taken care of by our organisation.
Pricing Director
Stella is an accomplished actuarial leader with over 10 years of experience in the medical insurance industry, spanning both U.S. and Asian markets. A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries since 2019, she has extensive expertise in both International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) and local healthcare markets.
With a strong focus on optimizing health plan performance and ensuring financial sustainability, Stella has a proven track record of developing innovative product strategies and leading cross-regional initiatives to deliver tailored solutions. Her global perspective and adaptability make her uniquely equipped to address the complexities of an ever-evolving healthcare landscape.
