With a background that spans operations, product development, provider networks, marketing, and sales, Derek has spent more than a decade as a regional CEO in Asia. He has successfully developed insurance businesses in seven Asia Pacific markets, consistently achieving top-three market share in each. His extensive experience includes navigating mergers, acquisitions, and organic growth.
Derek is passionate about creating sustainable health insurance solutions that offer exceptional value and customer experience while effectively managing medical costs.
Partner / Co-Founder
Jonathan James is a regional leader with 23 years of experience within corporate growth strategy, sales, and business transformation across health insurance, banking, P&C/EB broking, and lifestyle sectors. Based in Singapore since 2010, he has a proven track record in launching successful businesses and leading large local and regional teams.
With expertise spanning business management, direct and partnership sales, and building corporate and commercial infrastructure for large corporations in UK and Asia. Jonathan is deeply passionate about people and partnership to acomplish the ultimate objectives of each individual or company.
Jonathan is meticulous when it comes to risk management and compliance, with extensive experience in navigating the general insurance, P&C broking, employee benefits, and both international and local private medical insurance arenas. Having designed and later refined the Regional Private Medical Insurance' segment back in 2023, both Jonathan and Derek are determined to pioneer and represent RPMI through the Serenity:MSIG partnership across Asia.
General Manager
Serenity’s General Manager, Juliet Khew, is responsible for the core infrastructure and operations of the company, including underwriting.
Juliet has 20+ years of experience in health insurance operations in Singapore, working for various insurers across all segments of the health insurance market. She has a deep understanding of the regulatory and professional requirements for running an insurance-related business in a compliant manner, as well as extensive business growth and operational experience. Juliet also held the title of being the MAS approved Chief Executive of an insurer from 2020 to 2024, which provides Serenity Health Partners, clients and members with the assurance that their interests are well taken care of by our organisation.
Pricing Director
Stella is an accomplished actuarial leader with over 10 years of experience in the medical insurance industry, spanning both U.S. and Asian markets. A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries since 2019, she has extensive expertise in both International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) and local healthcare markets.
With a strong focus on optimizing health plan performance and ensuring financial sustainability, Stella has a proven track record of developing innovative product strategies and leading cross-regional initiatives to deliver tailored solutions. Her global perspective and adaptability make her uniquely equipped to address the complexities of an ever-evolving healthcare landscape.

Finance Director
Diah is an experienced finance and accounting professional with over 12 years of expertise in leading accounting functions and managing diverse client portfolios across SMEs and multinational organisations.
As Finance Director, she brings strong capabilities in financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, and team leadership. She is a member of CPA Australia and the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals.
Diah has a strong track record in overseeing full sets of accounts, GST and tax compliance, and consolidated reporting, while enhancing operational efficiency and fostering long-term client relationships.
She is recognised for her strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, enabling informed and effective financial decision-making.
Head of RPMI
Alistair is a seasoned regional leader with over 50 years of insurance experience, including 27 years in Asia. His deep understanding of the industry and extensive time in the region make him a valuable asset to Serenity.
A recognized expert in distribution, Alistair has worked across the full spectrum of channels—including brokers, agents, corporate agents, and financial advisers—earning a strong reputation and wide recognition throughout the industry.
He is also highly experienced in establishing strategic partnerships across diverse markets, a capability that will be instrumental as Serenity continues to expand.
In addition to spearheading the growth of Serenity’s Regional Private Medical Insurance business, Alistair’s leadership will be key to driving the Company’s overall success.

Weng Huiting has 16 years of experience in Singapore’s insurance industry, focused within Life & Health Insurance through financial adviser distribution.
Huiting has held leadership roles within the financial adviser channel, managing teams of advisers and supporting sales execution and business development activities across personal insurance lines and investment.
As Senior Health Lead (Singapore), Huiting is responsible for driving business growth, and ensuring the success of all internal and external corporate partnerships.
Senior Health Lead, Indonesia
Alfian has over 30 years of experience in the insurance, broking, and risk management industry, with a strong focus on employee benefits. He has expertise within underwriting, operations, account management, and business development.
Having worked with reputable international brokers, as well as domestic and international health insurers, Alfian brings a comprehensive understanding of the employee benefits landscape.
As Senior Health Lead (Indonesia), Alfian drives the development, management and optimisation of the Serenity product, collaborations, partnerships and value proposition in Indonesia.
